2018 BEST NIGERIAN ACHIEVEMENT IN SPORT
Promise Ebuzeme is a final year student of Vaal University of Technology (VUT) where she is studying Hospitality Management.
Promise is a promising personality, self-motivated and creative. Outside of academic, she has demonstrated excellence in other extra-curricular activities such as cooking and sports (Karate). She won a medal for a cooking competition during French week at her school. She is also member of the VUT Karate sport team with which she has attended many tournament in karate sporting events. She has being consistent with her grading from white belt and currently in blue belt going to purple belt before the end of 2018.
Since 2016, she has being to different tournament and have always being a winner (gold medalist). She has represented VUT in University Sport South Africa (USSA) championships. She is also among the selected few to represent VUT this year.
Promise is a mentor and peer educator. She mentors new students in hospitality management course and educates students and staff on health issues. She represented Nigeria in netball championship in 2017 and won the cup. She has also represented Nigerians in dancing for Africa during Africa day celebration 2018. She participated in intonga for South Africa indigenous games and will be represented Sedibeng province in provincials in August 2018.
“My goal in life is becoming a great independent fearless woman with great virtues and to be a role model to the upcoming youths out there”, says Promise.
